Adani-KISS Tribal Residential School was inaugurated today at Bankishole, Baripada, Mayurbhanj, Odisha by Shri Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister of Odisha on 8th January 2020. On this occasion Shri Gautam Adani, Chairman, Adani Group; Shri Sudam Marandi, Minister, Revenue and Disaster Management, Govt. of Odisha; Shri Bishweswar Tudu, Member of Parliament (LS), Mayurbhanja; Smt. Sarojini Hembram, Member of Parliament (RS); Shri Prakash Soren, MLA, Baripada; Dr. Priti Adani, Chairperson, Adani Foundation; Sh. Karan Adani, Chief Executive Officer & Director, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. and Dr. Achyutananda Samanta, Founder, KISS and KIIT were present. ନବେ ଦଶକର ପ୍ରାରମ୍ଭରୁ, ଯେବେଠୁ କିଟ୍ ଓ କିସ୍ ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠା ହେଲା ସେବେଠୁ ବୃତ୍ତିଗତ କାରଣରୁ ହେଉ ଅବା ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଗତ କାରଣରୁ ମୋତେ ରୀତିମତ ଦେଶବିଦେଶ ବୁଲିବାକୁ ପଡୁଛି। ଏହି କୋଡିଏ ପଚିଶ ବର୍ଷ ଭିତରେ ମୁଁ ବୁଲିଥିବା ଶହେରୁ ଉର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ଵ ଦେଶରେ ରହୁଥିବା ଅଗଣିତ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଭାଇ ଭଉଣୀଙ୍କ ସହ ମିଶିବାର ସୁଯୋଗ ପାଇଛି। ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଶ୍ରଦ୍ଧା ଓ ସଦିଛା ମୋତେ ବହୁବାର ଅଭିଭୂତ କରିଛି। ଓଡିଶା ବାହାରେ, ବିଶେଷକରି ବିଦେଶରେ ଯେତେବେଳେ କେହିଜଣେ ଭେଟ ହୋଇ ନିଜ ମାତୃଭାଷାରେ କଥା ହୁଏ, ସେତେବେଳର ଅନୁଭୂତି କେବଳ ଅନୁଭବୀ ହିଁ ଜାଣିଛି ! ତା'ଛଡା, ସାରା ପୃଥିବୀ ବୁଲିଲା ବେଳେ ଯେଉଁ କିଛି ବିଶେଷ ଉପଲବ୍ଧି ମୋତେ ମିଳିଛି, ସେଥି ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ସବୁଠୁ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହେଲା ମାତୃଭାଷା ଓ ତାର ବ୍ୟବହାର। ମୁଁ କେଉଁଠି ହେଲେ ଦେଖିନାହିଁ ଯେ' ସେଠିକାର ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ବାସିନ୍ଦା ନିଜ ମାତୃଭାଷା ବ୍ୟତୀତ ଅନ୍ୟ କେଉଁ ଭାଷାରେ ଭାବର ଆଦାନପ୍ରଦାନ କରୁଥିବାର! କାରଣ ଏହା ଧ୍ରୁବ ସତ୍ୟ ଯେ, ନିଜ ମାତୃଭାଷାରେ ଭାବପ୍ରକାଶ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଚେତନାକୁ ଯେତେ ସହଜରେ ଆନ୍ଦୋଳିତ କରେ ତାହା ପର ଭାଷା, ବିଦେଶୀ ଭାଷା କିମ୍ବା ବିକୃତ ଭାଷା ଦ୍ଵାରା କଦାପି ସମ୍ଭବ ନୁହେଁ।…

Tibetan spiritual leader and Nobel Laureate His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama has been honored with 10th ‘KISS Humanitarian Award’ at a special function held at the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS),Bhubaneswar  on November 21, 2017. Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) Declared Deemed University First Tribal University in the World On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) has been granted the University status by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India vide its Letter No. F.9-14/2011-U-3 (A) dated 25/08/2017. It has become the first tribal university in India and in the entire world. Though Indira Gandhi National Tribal University has been established before, it enrolls students of all categories. On the other hand, KISS University is exclusively for tribal students. KISS has been declared a Deemed University under De-Novo category. The University will introduce seven new innovative departments in the first phase to provide impetus to research on tribal studies and help KISS achieve a place of prominence in the tribal education and…

71st Independence day celebrated at KIIT and KISS
71st Independence Day was celebrated in Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) and KIIT University with great vigor and verve. Dr. B.N. Nanda, Senior Economic Adviser, Government of India, attended the celebration as chief guest and hoisted the National Flag. He also took the salute at the parade of the students. Among others, Saswati Bal, President, KIIT & KISS, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, R. N. Dash, Secretary, KIIT & KISS, Prashant Routray, CEO, KISS were also present. After flag hoisting, march-past was performed by the students of KISS. The students also performed colourful cultural programmes.
