Expanding its global footprint, KIIT inked memorandums of understanding with four prominent institutions of China. The agreements were signed during the visit of Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS to China on March 17 – 18, 2017.

These include MoU with Wenzhou University, a 90 year old institution, for collaboration in the fields of bio-medical research and with Jiangsu University for student exchange and research collaboration. Agreement was also signed with Yalong, known globally for their vocational training equipment, and YPC. As per the provisions, Yalong will train selected students of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) for a year on various skill development programmes, while KIIT and YPC will have student exchange and joint research programme.

During his visit, Prof. Samanta attended the India-China Business Forum in Zhenjiang, Shanghai on March 17, 2017 and addressed more than 200 business leaders. He spoke about Indo-China education initiatives and also inaugurated an Indian Film Festival on the occasion. The meet was a part of the week-long event to showcase commercial and cultural aspects of India organized by The Consulate General of India in Shanghai along with Zhenjiang Municipal Government. He also had a very constructive discussion with Mr. Prakash Gupta, Hon’ble Consul General of India. Zhenjiang, located in Jiangsu province, is a key industrial hub in Eastern China.
